The Accident & Emergency (A&E) department is a medical treatment facility specializing in acute care of patients who present without prior appointment with sudden emergencies.
Due to the unplanned nature of patient attendance, the department provides initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be lifethreatening and require immediate attention.The A&E department at Kokilaben hospital is the biggest, busiest and most modern state-of-art prototype emergency department in Mumbai and western India, where emergency care is provided by doctors qualified and trained in speciality of Emergency Medicine. The A&E at Kokilaben hospital has 18 beds and serves to about 25000 patients annually.
